Providence City Councilwoman Helen Anthony returned to the council on Thursday night for the first time since an accident that left her critically injured.
Anthony was taking a vacation in California in June when she was struck by an ATV in a state park. No charges were filed.
Anthony said she suffered twenty-two broken ribs and a fractured vertebrae, among other injuries.
The Ward 2 councilor who represents the Blackstone, College Hill and Wayland neighborhoods says she is focused on healing and is gradually re-entering public life.
