From Player To Red Sox Boss

The Red Sox appear to have their new head of baseball ops. According to ESPN,

Craig Breslow is set to become Boston's new head of baseball operations.

Breslow play 12 major league seasons, including five with the Sox, and was a member of the 2013 World Series winning team.

The 43-year-old had been serving as the Cubs' assistant general manager and vice president of pitching.

Breslow takes over after Boston fired chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom after four seasons.

Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen and ex-Miami Marlins GM Kim Ng were two of several high-profile candidates that declined taking an interview.
