Protesters Ask Reed To Seek Cease Fire

The call for a ceasefire in Gaza was made in Providence Sunday.

Demonstrators led by Jewish Voice for Peace gathered at the Pedestrian Bridge and called on state and federal leaders to put a stop to the fighting between Israeli and Hamas forces. The group claims a genocide is occurring in Gaza.

The BBC reports more than 11-thousand people have been killed in Gaza, with more than 14 hundred in Israel since Hamas launched the first attack on October 6th.

The group is asking US Senator Jack Reed to assist them in their calls for peace but so far the Senator has not commented.
