Flooding brought on by this week's storm has produced near-record flooding, including on the Pawtuxet River.
The river overflowed its banks on Tuesday, following nearly six inches of rain, atop the four inches that fell during last week's storm.
Pawtuxet crested at 15-point-11 feet last night, but is receding and should be back to normal levels by Friday.
The record crest of 20-point-79 feet occurred in 2010.
Rhode Island has received 16 inches of rain in one month, precipitating the flooding.
