Fog will make for slowdowns through much of the morning commute on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Rhode Island, Southeast Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Connecticut River Valley through 7 am.
Visibility is expected to be reduced to a quarter mile in some sections.
Motorists are urged to take extra time as they travel and reduce speeds.
The fog should break up as the day progresses, with temperatures remaining in the forties, with rain heavy at times across the region this evening.
