The first significant snowfall of the season is expected to hit much of the Northeast.
Forecasters say a winter storm will cross southern New England late Saturday and bring snowfall through most of the day on Sunday.
While it is too soon to predict how much snow will fall, RIDOT officials say the combined fleet of state and private vehicles numbers more than 420, and these will be ready to take to state and city roadways.
