Officials have officially broken ground on a new affordable housing project in Woonsocket.
Much of the more than 34-million-dollar project is being covered by funds from the American Rescue Plan Act and other contributors.
The new space will feature dozens of apartments and the rent will average between 750-dollars and just over 13-hundred 50 bucks a month.
Each unit will also have free high-speed internet service.
