Cleanup Continues After Torrential Rains

The remnants of Winter Storm Finn should move out of southern New England as the day goes on. Another two to four inches of rain was predicted as heavy rains and high winds swept across Rhode Island overnight.

A Flood Warning has been posted through 6:30 am, with a Coastal Flood Warning in effect until 9:30 am. A Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 am as well.

The Pawtuxet River is expected to crest above 14 feet by this evening, more than five feet above flood stage, and several other waterways are expected to overflow their banks today into Thursday.
