Providence police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that took place on New Year's Eve.
The accident on North Main Street and Rochambeau Avenue took place at around 7:15 pm when a vehicle struck 57-year-old Edwin English.
He died of his injuries on January 9th. Police announced the arrest of 31-year-old Ariel Acosta of Providence.
Acosta faces a count of hit-and-run, with death resulting.
More charges are likely to be filed. Her first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
