RIDE Commissioner To Schools: "Get The Foam Out"

The Rhode Island Department of Education kicked off its program to remove Styrofoam from schools.

RIDE Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green was joined by Lt. Governor Sabina Matos and other state officials in starting the "Get the Foam Out" program, which will provide five-million-dollars in school grant funds for education and audits on school waste.

The initiative comes as a ban on the use of Styrofoam goes into effect on January 1st of next year.
