The union which represents Community College of Rhode Island faculty says picketing will take place on all four campuses today, the opening of the spring semester.
A speaking program at CCRI's Knight Campus in Warwick will be part of the action. Educators have been working without a contract since June of 2022.
Two tentative agreements negotiated by the union, CCRI, and the Council on Post secondary Education were voted down by the rank and file.
The union represents approximately 300 full-time faculty.
