Narragansett has a new public library. Senator Jack Reed and Representative Seth Magaziner joined dignitaries in the ribbon cutting Sunday for the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library.
The Pier Market Place location, trustees say took more than a decade to bring about.
The new state-of-the-art library was named in honor of Loontjens, who served the community as a teacher, councilman, and longtime supporter.
