Police have charged a Providence woman with striking a child while working as a school bus monitor.
Authorities say 21-year-old Kianna Camacho allegedly struck the boy, who was nine, while the bus was taking students home on Monday.
The alleged victim's father says Camacho believed his son had thrown something at her while on the bus, which the boy denied.
Camacho was arraigned Wednesday, on a charge of assault and is free on a thousand-dollar bond.
She is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on February 14th.
