Electricity Rates Expected To Drop Soon

Rhode Island Energy officials say electric supply prices are expected to drop this spring.

The provider cites the increase due to a new rate proposal before the state Public Utilities Commission.

Customers on the default supply rate could see a more than 40 percent cut in that portion of their electric bills.

The new rates would run from April 1st through September 30th.
