It wasn't completely unexpected, but Providence College beat Georgetown for the third time this season.
This time it was in The Big East Tournament - the final Providence 74- Georgetown 56.
"Proud of our guys. It's a new season, the mission is to go 1 and 0. Most important game in tournament settings is to win the first game. Proud of our guys, first year head coach Kim English said.
Josh Oduro led all scores with 20 points while Devin Carter had 19.
Providence at 20 and 12 will continue in the tournament with a 7pm game tonight against Creighton.
Georgetown finishes the year at 9 and 23.
