Butler Pleads Not Guilty To Operating Under Influence

Former NFL player Malcolm Butler entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of DUI on Thursday.

Butler was arrested in North Providence on March 16th, when police reportedly found his car stopped and blocking traffic in the early hours of the morning.

They noted Butler's speech was slurred and had alcohol on his breath.

Butler is free on a thousand-dollar personal recognizance bond.

Butler played seven seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans and is best known for an interception that preserved the Pats' victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 49.

He retired after the 2020 season.
