A fatal accident in Woonsocket Saturday night led to the arrest of one of the motorists.
Police were called to the two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Bernon and Maple Streets at around 10 pm. A 71-year-old passenger was taken to Landmark Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver and a second passenger were brought to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries; they are expected to recover.
Police have charged 45-year-old Samuel Adams of Woonsocket with DUI and driving to endanger, both with death resulting.
He is being held at the ACI for lack of 25-thousand dollars' bail and will be arraigned today.
