The University of Rhode Island has announced a record number of applications from prospective first-year students.
The applications for the Fall 2024 semester totaled 26-thousand-800, up about 14-hundred from last year.
Dean Libutti, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success says the university is being recognized for its programs, top-class facilities, and supportive college community.
The application increase is being noted for URI's engineering, nursing, business, and education programs, along with higher numbers of transfers, adult learners, and veterans.
