The death of a two-month-old child remains under investigation in Newport.
Officers were called to a housing development on Girard Avenue late Thursday night for an unresponsive child, who was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
A 17-year-old boy was arraigned on Friday on a felony child endangerment charge.
He is said to be the child's father and is being held at the Rhode Island Training School.
The state Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
