East Greenwich School District officials have announced a Title IX investigation is underway.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Dr. Brian Ricca outlined allegations of misconduct that were brought to the district's attention recently.
The report alleges an adult connected to a non-district tennis program in the middle school was involved.
That individual's name was not released.
The program has been suspended and the matter was reported to the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
