Demonstrators in Providence rallied and held a prayer service for the Palestinian mothers killed in the Gaza war.
The group also called for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel during Sunday's rally on the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge.
A number of groups took part in the demonstration on the Providence pedestrian bridge including the Rhode Island Community Khayr which posted a message on Facebook saying "In the face of massacres, expulsion, and the surveillance and control tactics of apartheid, Palestinian mothers have shown the Sumud or steadfastness that declares 'You may break our bones, but you cannot break our spirit.'"
