Most Rhode Island state beaches will be opening this Saturday, May 25 and they will remain open daily until September 2.
Scarborough South State Beach will be opening on June 15 and will stay open until August 18.
After that, it will only be open on weekends until September 2.
Lifeguards will not be on duty after 6:00 p.m. and anyone who gets in the water after that time will be swimming at their own risk.
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management encourages locals to buy their beach parking passes in advance.
