Thousands of athletes, volunteers and spectators turned out for the 2024 Rhode Island Special Olympics Summer Games over the weekend.
The games at the University of Rhode Island included swimming, powerlifting, track and field, basketball and more.
In addition to the competitions, there was an Olympic Village with interactive events for athletes and their families.
Healthy Athletes was also part of the event, offering free vision, dental, hearing and fitness screenings.
