RIDOH Recommends Closing Two Swimming Areas Due To High Bacteria Counts

The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended the closure of two swimming areas on Tuesday.

RIDOH says Briar Point Beach in Coventry and Hope Community Service Pond in Scituate should be closed because of high bacteria counts.

Health officials say they will continue to monitor and review the water quality.

This is the second year in a row RIDOH has recommended closing the two swimming areas.
