A Superior Court judge has ruled Rhode Island's beach access law is unconstitutional.
Judge Sarah Taft-Carter it violates property owners' rights.
The Attorney General's Office said it disagrees with the ruling and will continue to defend Rhode Islanders access to the shoreline.
However, it's unclear if there will be an appeal.
