The public is being asked for help to identify a jewelry thief.
Police said a woman stole over 200-dollars worth of jewelry from a store on Bowens Wharf in Newport last weekend.
According to a police statement: " a middle-aged white female with greyish brown curly hair, a yellow button-down shirt, tan pants, holding 2 small white dogs, and a black bag, stole $228.00 worth of jewelry from Kiel James Patrick’s Flagship Store.
