Plans are being finalized for vice presidential candidate Tim Walz to visit Rhode Island.
Channel 12 reported his expected appearance at a fundraiser in Newport is tentatively planned for a week from today, August 16th.
Walz' visit will be part of a nationwide tour before the Democratic National Convention.
