The City of Newport is considering several options for how to pay for the Perrotti Park restoration.
The bulkhead holding up the seawall is damaged and could topple over with a "catastrophic weather event," according to the Newport Harbormaster.
With that, the city is proposing a 98-and-a-half million dollar bond, with 20-million of that going to fix the park.
If approved by voters, part of the funds would come from increased landing and boarding fees for cruise ship passengers.
