RI Offers 2-Point-5-Million In Grants To Prevent Homelessness

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services says organizations that work to prevent homelessness can now apply for a share of two-point-25-million dollars in grants to support their efforts.

The grants are funded in part by the state's opioid settlement money.

Nonprofits, shelters and homeless service providers are welcome to apply for grants along with housing policy, harm reduction and community-based organizations.

Officials say priority will be given to applications that are submitted by October 7th.
