The father of a seven-year-old who was killed while sitting in the back seat of a car made a court appearance on Thursday.
Twenty-seven-year-old Nelson Pires was arraigned on two counts of child endangerment and one count of driving with a suspended license.
He's being held on a 50-thousand-dollar surety bail and is scheduled to return to court in January.
Pires was allegedly involved in an altercation with two suspects who are accused of firing their guns at his car with his daughter inside.
She was hit by the gunfire and died in the days after the shooting.
