22 people have been arrested by Providence Police in connection with a wide-ranging drug investigation.
The defendants range from 18 to 64 and 14 had been previously arrested as part of drug dealings.
About half of those arrested were also subject to warrants.
Police Chief Oscar Perez says since taking the reigns of the department he has prioritized public safety and the chief says that there will be additional operations in the future.
And he says that there will be zero tolerance for drug activity in the city.
