Cox Communications filed a lawsuit against the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation on Monday regarding a broadband internet infrastructure plan.
Cox claims that the plan will benefit Rhode Island's wealthiest communities at the expense of residents who need better broadband access.
Speaking with reporters, Cox officials said they've tried to work with the state for more than a year, but they have not been given a realistic opportunity to challenge the process.
