The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will be temporarily closing two bridges in New Shoreham for preservation work.
The bridges on Beach Avenue and Ocean Avenue will close starting Tuesday morning at eight-o'clock and they are expected to reopen by five-o'clock on Wednesday afternoon.
RIDOT says drivers should use Corn Neck Road and Ocean Avenue as detours for the Beach Avenue bridge closure and use Beach Avenue, Center Road, and West Side Road as detours for Ocean Avenue.
