A man is dead after being struck on northbound I-95 in Providence late Saturday.
Rhode Island State Police say the victim was in a car that stopped in the breakdown lane near the Clifford Street overpass around 11:40 p.m.
The victim exited the vehicle and ended up in a travel lane where he was struck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stopped and cooperated with first responders and no criminal charges have been filed.
The crash remains under investigation.
