Amazon and Rhode Island Commerce hosted a small business summit at Rhode Island College Monday to encourage them to take advantage of the new fulfillment center that will be opening soon in Johnston.
Governor Dan McKee says Amazon's new 3-point-8-million-square-foot facility is proof positive of the company's strong commitment to Rhode Island.
The center is expected to open in time for this year's holiday season. Amazon has committed more than 2-point-75-million-dollars over five years to Rhode Island's Small Business Assistance Program.
