Voters in Rhode Island have rejected a ballot question that would have approved a constitutional convention.
If Question 1 had passed, delegates would meet and propose potential changes to the state constitution.
After the convention, voters would have to approve any proposed amendments.
The last time a constitutional convention was held in Rhode Island was in 1986.
Voters approved ballot questions for 160-million-dollars in funding for higher education facilities, a 120-million-dollar Housing Bond, 53-million-dollars in Green Economy bonds and 10-million-dollars in matching grants for the Cultural Arts and Economy Grant Program.
