Heavy Rains- High Winds Batter State

The National Weather Service has issued a River Flood Warning for the state, through this afternoon.

Meantime, state officials say with the two and a half inches of rain that fell throughout the state in the last 24 hours, you still need to exercise caution.

Don't go through puddles for the splash.

They say turn around to be safest.

There were poweroutages throughout the entire state impacting thousands of people.

As of the latest report there are still about three thousand customers of Rhode Island Energy without power---mainly from the 50 to 60 mile an hour winds.

For the cleanup, it looks like things will turn quite a bit colder today.

So far there have been no reports or significant damage or injuries reported.
