The Rhode Island Department of Health is losing over 30-million-dollars in federal funding.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention abruptly canceled four grants that support post-pandemic programs.
According to a Department of Health spokesperson the CDC said the pandemic is over.
The funding cuts are apparently part of the Trump administration's plan to reduce government spending.
