Renovations on Mount Pleasant High School in Providence are officially underway following a Wednesday groundbreaking ceremony.
The building, that's around 90-years-old, is getting a 110-million-dollar upgrade which will include state-of-the-art labs for robotics, engineering, career and technical education programs.
The renovation will also include an updated gym, auditorium, and cafeteria.
The project is expected to be completed by 2027.
Officials say the project is a key part of a billion-dollar plan to transform and modernize school facilities across the city.
