The Providence Public Safety Complex will be one of many Rhode Island locations collecting medications on National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
Residents can turn in expired, unwanted and unused medications at the complex on Washington Street, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Providence city staff will also be on hand to hand out medication lock bags and disposal kits at the event.
Mayor Brett Smiley says his administration is committed to reducing overdose deaths and supporting every Providence neighbor on their path to recovery.
