Woonsocket Traffic Stop Leads To Drug, Firearm Charges

A traffic stop in Woonsocket has led to the arrest of two people on drug and firearm charges.

Police stopped the driver of a vehicle on Holder Lane for a seatbelt violation, and officers say crack cocaine was visible in the door panel.

A further search of the vehicle turned up more than 2-ounces of fentanyl, bottles of unknown pills, more than 900-dollars in cash and a loaded gun.

Thirty-five-year-old David Kennedy and 50-year-old Malda Tykes each face multiple charges.
