Barnstable County has released a voter's guide regarding Question A on the November ballot.
The question will appear on the ballot in all 15 Barnstable County towns, but since it's not a statewide question, it's not included in the Secretary of the Commonwealth's Information for Voters booklet.
Question A asks whether a Charter Study Commission should be created to review the present structure of Barnstable County government and make findings and recommendations about potential changes.
It includes changes that could make fundamental and wholesale changes to the form of county government.
If Question A passes, a 19-member Charter Study Commission would be created.
It would include one elected representative from each town, three County Commissioners or their designees and the Speaker of the Assembly of Delegates or her designee.
