Owner Leaves Dog In Cold, Faces Animal Cruelty Charge

(North Providence, RI)  --  Authorities say a man is facing animal cruelty charges after leaving his dog out in the cold for several hours.  The Rhode Island SPCA says 41-year-old Nicholas Tsonos of North Providence was arrested Saturday after officers found his dog "King" outside.  Officers say the wind chill temperature was four-degrees at the time.  The German Shepherd is healthy but a bit underweight and is currently being held at the North Providence Animal Shelter as the investigation continues.
