Former Police Union President Agrees To Plead Guilty

(Newport, RI)  --  The former Newport Fraternal Order of Police President Christopher Hayes is agreeing to plead guilty to taking money from the police union's bank account. Federal court documents show Hayes used his FOP debit card for personal expenses and writing checks to himself from the union account.  A hearing before a federal magistrate is set for Friday.
