Providence City Council Fails To Move On Jackson Inquiry

(Providence, RI)  --  An effort to recall a Providence city councilman accused of embezzling money from a youth group has hit a roadblock.  Eight members of council and the Board of Canvassers failed to show up last night when other council members wanted to conduct an inquiry into Kevin Jackson's possible removal.  But council couldn't go forward as planned because the focus of the inquiry, the Board of Canvassers didn't show up.  Only seven council members of the 14-member board showed up.
