(Providence, RI) -- Ed Asner is starring in a movie being made in Rhode Island. Asner plays Santa Claus in "The Santa Files" which is about a boy and his friends who set out to prove that Santa is real. The movie is being made by Rhode Island director Tom DeNucci and also stars Patrick Muldoon, Brooke Langton and Jack Brunalt. This is not the first time Asner has been cast as Santa as had the role in the movie "Elf."
