(Johnston, RI) -- Johnston Police are looking for a suspect who was behind the wheel of a car involved in a chase. Authorities say the incident started around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when officers attempted to stop a car for registration violations. The driver, 40-year-old Shawn Cornwell sped away into Providence where he slowed down to let a female passenger jump out of the car. Police located the car later, but not Cornwell, who remains on the run.
