(Providence, RI) -- Some Rhode Island taxpayers must think they're seeing double. The state sent duplicate tax-refund checks to about 500 people, but because of built-in security measures only one can be cashed. State officials say the duplicate checks totaling more than $364,000 were printed and mailed on the same day. Anyone who receives a duplicate check should mail it to the Rhode Island Division of Taxation.
