PawSox Unveil New Stadium Plan

(Pawtucket, RI)  --  The Pawtucket Red Sox are asking the state to kick in 23 million dollars towards a new 85 million dollar ballpark project.  Under the plan the owners would pay 45 million dollars while the city of Pawtucket would pay 15-million dollars.  The publicly owned stadium would be built on the site of the Apex building downtown and be called the Ballpark at Slater Mill.  Team owners say the state's share of the cost would be repaid over 30 years from ballpark revenues.
