(North Providence, RI) -- A new North Providence police chief will be sworn in tomorrow. Retired state police Major David Tikoian will become chief in a ceremony at 6 p.m. at the North Providence High School auditorium. Tikoian replaces Acting Chief Charles Davey who ran the department while Interim Chief Christopher Pelagio was suspended over an altercation with a Cranston police sergeant.
